From the Back Cover
Does America have a hidden oligarchy? Is U.S. foreign policy run by a closed shop? What is the Council on Foreign Relations? It began in 1921 as a front organization for J.P. Morgan and Company. By World War II it had acquired unrivaled influence on American foreign policy. Hundreds of U.S. government administrators and diplomats have been drawn from its ranks – regardless of which party has occupied the White House. But what does the Council on Foreign Relations stand for? Why do the major media avoid discussing it? What has been its impact on America’s past – and what is it planning for the future? These questions and more are answered by James Perloff in The Shadows of Power.

American Classic of Truth
Just finished this book. Read and reread parts of it. Well documented and well written. In this book, you can find some disturbing facts about just how deeply our government has been infiltrated by the left. While I’ve been studying this topic for a few years, this book opened my eyes to just how far back the serious infiltration began and just how high up the rot goes. Very educational if you really want to know the truth. As a Vietnam Vet one tidbit just really got me. Until reading this book I did not know that President Johnson, who I knew was a problem, approved trade with the Soviet Union of ‘non-essential items’ and gave aid to them. Interesting since they were supplying North Vietnam with weapons and other supplies for the war. What were the ‘non-essential’ items? One was ‘aluminum’
It reveals a lot that very few know, but keep a grain of salt available when you read it.
I thought I kew a lot about the political maneuvering of the two parties and the CFR. Wishful thinking it was!! I admit I learned a lot. The book doesn’t hide names, places or political circumstances of the episodes, and gives dozens of references to check what is in the text. I admit I didn’t check any. And however sounds to me that some things are disproportionally exaggerated and I just don’t buy everything. Mainly the strong sympathy and support of the USSR and many other communist regimes, by the presidents and many other powerful offices in government, I find impossible to believe. And I mean to the point of helping the USSR occupy Eastern Europe as soon as WWII finished. Given the portentous geopolitical importance of that action, it’ hard to swallow.
Many other things are perfectly believable, such as the disconnect, that still exists, between the common people and the most powerful members of the establishment that truly rule and determine internal and external police, etc. And yes, the participation of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) that few are aware of, makes it without doubt a shadow government.
A book that will rock your world and give you a new perspective of how things have come to the point they are now!
The granddaddy book of the Conspiracy Theory camp. A must read to get the overall perspective of what happened and why in the 20th Century. The quoted people will astound you and gives credence to the alternate history we’ve never been taught! Read this and read “Born in Blood” by John J. Robinson, and this will give you the perspective prior to the time period discussed in The Shadows of Power to give you a complete historic overview from it’s source – the Knights Templar and the Freemasons from which they came. Be sure, the fallacy that the two are not related and the cabals that run our world in the shadows that evolved from the these orders.
I try to get every politician to read this. …
I try to get every politician to read this. It explains how the tax free foundations set out to pervert segments of our society. For Example: the Carnegie Endowment went after education to obfuscate our history in the teachers colleges. J.P. Morgan went after another group, etc. If you want to understand how our culture and institutions are and have been eroded into socialism and away from free enterprise then a core book is SHADOWS OF POWER. The Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) for years headed by David Rockefeller, wants a New World Order and therefore the destruction of the U.S. Constitution.
Have you read the book, ‘Global Tyranny … Step by Step, by William Jasper, written in 1992? My brother is a Citizen of the State and has furnished me with articles and books to research my findings. I found this book to be especially interesting as I read it last year, in that this guy’s predictions and history of the Cabal, Shadow Government & NWO have all been revealed as the truth. Wow, we won’t know how to act once this evil Cabal is taken down and we all will be living in a REAL free country. Keep up the good work!
Excellent — we will add it!
