Only God Rescued Me: My Journey From Satanic Ritual Abuse
That night began the nightmares. She was being gang raped, and this scenario repeated nightly for years. What did it mean?
The first flashback hit her while she was wide awake a couple weeks later. Her husband held her as she sobbed and tried to scrub the feelings off of her skin. James stayed faithfully by her side that night, and all the nights that came after.
Nine months later the flashbacks took an evil turn. There was excruciating body pain and images of graves, candles, crosses, and with robed and hooded people whose faces were hidden in the shadows.
Lisa decided that it was time to investigate and prove to herself that she was completely crazy, her idea of a better outcome than believing something like that could happen to her.
James and Lisa travelled back to her home town and had the unexpected outcome of finding enough reasons to accept that she was, indeed, a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA). She returned home devastated.
The next fifteen years were filled with ever worsening flashbacks. Her body fell apart and day to day survival took more energy that she had. She looked for help in the Christian community. She found very wonderful and caring counselors, but no one with experience with SRA survivors.
Lisa realized that she could no longer endure being isolated from other survivors. She needed to find SRA survivors to help her with the process. She found a community of them around the world, each one trying to survive a life decimated by the abuse.
The one thing that remained a constant in her life was God. She and her family stayed in their local church throughout the years, and God gave her the strength to get out of bed each morning and face another day.
The SRA abuse that Lisa endured was worse than being the victim in a horror movie. Lisa worked hard in counseling to try to get all of the healing that she could.
Follow Lisa as she works through her past and comes to grip with her present. Watch her struggle to balance healing with the ability to stay functional in her life. See the cruel backlash from her family. Finally, see how she finds God’s peace in the midst of it all.

Very Important Book
This book has effected me to the core. Even though Lisa does a remarkable job of telling how the abuse effected her, I still can’t fathom what she must face every single day. I have great respect for Lisa for coming forward, telling her story and fighting for justice. Her intentions are to help other victims and prevent more abuse, but I hope she has also experienced some healing by writing this book. And it’s a very important book. Whenever a survivor of sexual abuse comes forward, it sheds light on the horrific topic and gets it out of the dark and to a place where people can see it. Society’s denial about sexual and ritual abuse is an enormous problem for victims. This book will give you an idea of what abuse from the outside may look like so we can recognize it and call it out. I went to school with Lisa, in this very small town, and I had no idea anything like this was going on. I wish I could have helped. That is why I am so grateful God did! God bless you, Lisa, and I will be praying for you as you continue to heal.
A Must Read!
This is an honest, but horrifying account from a true survivor of parental sexual abuse and satanic ritual abuse. I know the author personally and I am overwhelmed with her strength and courageousness. Her faith is extraordinary and so inspiring. She shares her most personal events, ones that most cannot fathom, in a sincere effort to help others. Lisa brings a much needed awareness to the subject of SRA. Everyone can benefit from her story.
This book will grab you
This book will grab and shock you. I didn’t want to put it down yet at times I didn’t want to see what horrific abuse happened next. I know Lisa and her family, and I knew there had been abuse, but what I read doesn’t line up with anything I may have expected. The courage this process has taken is extraordinary; to write about it must have been a monumental task. This is not a story for casual reading, but and account of Light overcoming darkness. Through her Savior, Lisa is a conqueror.
